Vielsalm is a town of the High Ardenne which is located at the North-eastern point of the Province of Luxembourg, forming a pocket in the Province of Liege, it was born from the merger of the old communes of Vielsalm (Grand-Halleux, Petit-Thier and Bihain, some parts of Lierneux, Beho and Arbrefrontaine).

The relief is varied there: the Ardennes plateau is represented by the surroundings of the “Baraque Fraiture” or "Grand Bois".
The main valley is called “vallée du Gain” more commonly called valley of Salm.

The geology of the area of Salm is one of most remarkable that can be found. Discover thousands of interesting plants as well as rare flowers and rocks.

To visit

Saint Martin mount and Chapel : a horseback ride to admire the “via crucis” skirting the approach ramp to the vault.
Each station is marked with an old blue carefully carved tombstone from the monument of Ottré.

Natural reserves of RNOB: 12 sites, grouped in 4 protected reserves. The visit of the reserves is the opportunity to take a bath in nature, but also to observe some rare plants for which the site is often the last refuge.
